We welcome pitches that bring a clear eye and a grounded understanding of film and analogue photography. A strong proposal gives readers a useful way to see a process, object, or visual decision more clearly.
Subjects we consider
Ideas may explore film formats, camera design, exposure, darkroom work, image handling, or the life of a photographic archive. We are especially interested in focused pieces that explain a specific choice or process without requiring readers to own specialist equipment.
Shape a good pitch
Tell us the proposed angle, why it matters to a reader interested in analogue photography, and the main points the piece would cover. Include relevant experience or access that helps establish your perspective, but do not send a complete draft unless requested.
Send a proposal
Use the Contact page and select the editorial question option to send your pitch. Please include a working title and a concise summary; proposals should be original and clearly distinguish personal observation from general technical explanation.
